A YOUNG businessman and his friend plan to fly out to South Africa next month for the World Cup.
Sean Johnson, of Sealand Road, and his friend George Senior, of Blacon, will be travelling to Johannesburg on Friday, June 4, to show their support for England during the game.
Sean, 21, said he and George, 16, also hope to show the world that there are still “very dedicated” football fans in Chester.
The pair will camp in the country for an additional four weeks after the game.
Sean, who runs Lineex Computers in Sealand Road, said: “We only decided to do this in November. George, who works with me as an apprentice, and I decided it was a welcome break from normal routine.
“I have worked seven days a week for the last year. I have never been out of the country and just wanted an adventure, to do something exciting for a change.”
He added: “With everything that’s going on in Chester with the football we just wanted to show everyone that we were very dedicated football fans and we stand behind the city.
“We have a full bag of England flags which we are taking with us to the games. We are both very excited about this trip.”
