CHESTER cruised to their sixth straight win in style against 10-man Stafford.
Midfielder Iain Howard smashed home a six yard shot to put the Blues 1-0 up after 14 minutes after Matty McGinn's long throw had been flicked on by George Horan and fumbled by home keeper Sam Johnson.
And Michael Powell doubled Chester's advantage in the 21st minute with a 18 yard low first-time left-footed shot after fine work by Chris Simm on the left edge of the area.
Stafford were reduced to 10 men one minute before the interval when defender Luke George was shown a straight red card for a stamping offence on Simm.
Powell then put the game beyond Stafford with his fifth goal of the season in the 78th minute when he slotted home from close range after a good passing move between substitute Jamie Rainford and Matty McNeil.
