CHESTER bounced back to winning ways with an emphatic home victory.
Chris Simm put the Blues 1-0 up after just 16 minutes when he thumped home a 15 yard shot after Matty McGinn's long throw had been allowed to bounce in the area.
Chester increased their lead in the 27th minute thanks to another superbly measured long throw by McGinn that found Iain Howard whose overhead kick found the bottom left corner of the net.
Simm made it 3-0 in the 53rd minute when he profited from a superb piece of control by Howard whose pass then released Simm and the striker then fended off a challenge by Paul Foot before rolling the ball beyond visiting keeper Steve Wilson and into the net.
Substitute Bradley Barnes made his presence felt just four minutes after replacing captain George Horan, by smashing home a 77th minute shot from Simm's pass on the right edge of the area.
Robbie Booth put Chester 5-0 ahead 10 minutes from time, controlling a cross-field pass from Liam Brownhill before cutting inside and seeing his powerful shot arrow its way into the top right corner of the net via the fingertips of Wilson.
And McGinn wrapped up the points by converting an 87th minute penalty after he had been brought down in the area.
