The Fat Cat restaurant in Chester was robbed on Sunday.

THREE armed raids at restaurants in and around Chester are not being linked, according to police.

A trio of masked men stormed Domino’s Pizza, on Chester Street, Saltney, shortly before closing time on January 24, wielding knives and hammers and demanded cash from terrified staff.

Three Balaclava-clad intruders armed with a machete struck at Pizza Hut, in Chester Road West, Shotton, on January 27 at 10.30pm.

They ran off from the premises with cash after locking staff in a back room. A similar incident hit Watergate Street restaurant The Fat Cat at 11.45pm on Sunday – a little more than a fortnight after the two armed raids near Chester.

Armed with hammers and knives, three men ran into the bar and demanded cash from two female workers, before making them wait in a back room office.

Cheshire Police spokesperson Louise Hughes said that detectives were in the process of "reviewing" the incidents and had not linked them "at this time".

She added: "We always offer security and safety advice to victims of crime and businesses. We urge them to follow security measures and make sure that they are in place at all times.

"Our investigations are ongoing and we cannot yet link the three incidents."

North Wales Police and Cheshire Police are appealing for witnesses and information in relation to each incident.

Anyone with any information about the raids at Domino’s Pizza and The Fat Cat are asked to call Cheshire Police on 0845 458 0000.
