A CITY businesswoman and mum of one is celebrating after realising her dream of becoming a children’s author.
Well and truly caught up in the writing bug, Corrie Moral, 32, of Chester, is already busy planning the sequel to her first publication ‘Daisy’s Dreams and Adventures’ which has hit bookshelves across the country.
Corrie, a director of Virtuoso Recruitment Limited, and who lives on Parkgate Road, found herself revisiting her childhood ambition of writing a novel after dreaming about it while pregnant with her son Camilo, now six months old.
Corrie, who is also responsible for illustrating the book, said: “The idea for Daisy’s Dreams and Adventures came to me one night in a dream which is magical. Each illustration came to my mind clearly, including the childlike characters.
“I am absolutely thrilled to have been able to fulfil my dream. As a child I thrived on creativity, always focusing on drawing, drama and creative writing activities. Aged seven I would sit in my bedroom recording myself on to tape telling stories with the idea one day I would write children’s books”.
Daisy’s Dreams and Adventures is designed to capture children’s imagination as Daisy visits exciting places from the past in her dreams with her pet dog, Diggers.
The book is made up of two imaginative stories which not only encourage children that taking naps and going to bed at night is important but also teaches them about history as Daisy and Diggers visit ‘dinosaur time’ and ancient Egypt.
The book can be ordered at most bookstores and on Amazon.
Corrie will continue to run her Cheshire based recruitment company alongside husband Dan, but is already looking to the future in preparation for a series of Daisy’s Dreams and Adventures.
