OLYMPIC gymnast Beth Tweddle has one, as does Paralympic gold medallist John Stubbs and now other talented sports enthusiasts are being urged to come forward for a prestigious award.
For the eighth year running, sports enthusiasts throughout Cheshire have the chance to scoop an award from Cheshire and Warrington Sports Partnership.
Local people can nominate either themselves or others for the coveted awards which celebrate the dedication of local sporting talent and give members of the public the chance to vote and be nominated for one of 10 categories.
Included for the first time is an Innovation Award and a Healthy and Active Workplace Award for organisations that promote healthy and active living for their staff.
Headline sponsors the Cheshire Jets Foundation and Warrington Wolves Foundation will be out in force at the glittering awards ceremony, which will be held on Saturday, November 13 at Mere Golf and Country Club, in Knutsford. Cheshire and Warrington Sports Partnership chief executive, Jackie Bryson, said: “We always look forward to our annual awards evening because it gives us such a wonderful opportunity to recognise and celebrate those who contribute so much to sport which has the power to enrich the lives not only of individuals but also of communities.”
Tickets cost £40 which includes a three-course meal and entertainment. Award nominations can be made online at www.cwsportspartnership.org or call for information and tickets 01606 871812.
