A SUPERMARKET giant welcomed shoppers to its new store for the first time yesterday.
The eagerly-awaited Morrisons in Saltney opened its doors to members of the public during a grand opening ceremony.
New manager Les Williams welcomed scores of eager shoppers into the new 64,000 sq ft store.
The development has created an additional 300 jobs in the area and community leaders hope it will give the town a much needed boost.
Ward councillor Klaus Armstrong-Braun was given a sneak preview.
He said: “I had a peek in the store and it is very spacious and light. It’s very good news for Saltney people.”
