REVELLERS were in party mood for a colourful Mardi Gras-style event in Chester.
Watergate Street in the city centre was brought to life with a series of colourful themed events with partygoers salsa dancing the night away and joining in the lively street entertainment.
A number of pubs and eateries welcomed revellers inside to feast on tapas, with various food and drink stalls set out along the street.
The free event was held in support of the Hospice of the Good Shepherd at Backford.
