A CHESTER-based data specialist has been awarded a contract with one of Asia's largest sports betting sites.
The GB Group has been chosen to provide an online identity verification process for 12Bet.com, which is about to launch a European operation, based on the Isle of Man.
GB's ID3 technology can check the details of more than 800 million people in more than 26 countries and will provide the betting site with the fraud prevention it requires.
Dave Wilson, GB finance director, said: "We are delighted to be working with 12.Bet.com to manage their online ID Verification. We do firmly believe we have the best technology in the market to provide them with a solution that offers them a true reflection of who their customers are and allows them to meet their regulatory requirements."
The positive news coincides with the group announcing impressive financial revenue.
Mr Wilson revealed: "We have a real feel good factor around the business at the moment and this is reflected in our business performance, with Group revenues showing an increase of 12 per cent and 97 per cent growth in profits recorded at the end of the first quarter (June 2010)."
