Visitors break attendance records at Chester Races meet

THOUSANDS of visitors enjoyed all the excitement of a record breaking race meet at Chester Roodee.


Crowds of more than 25,000 packed the racecourse for the second to last set of fixtures of what has been an incredible year for  racecourse bosses.
 

Richard Thomas, chief executive of Chester Race Company Ltd, said there had been a 22 per cent increase in attendance from last year.
 

“We are delighted with the success. It has been very busy and the crowds just seem to grow and grow. You just need to look around the racecourse to see that it is full of people really enjoying themselves.’
 

The following fixtures remain for the 2010 season at Chester Racecourse, Friday September 10, Saturday September 11, and Saturday September 25.
