PLANS for the second Chester marathon are well under way following this year’s huge success.

Organisers have opened up entry places for runners in the 2011 MBNA Chester Marathon, which has been planned for October 2011.

The register is now open for runners to pre-register with the first 3,000 being guaranteed the offer of a place when the race opens for entries at the end of September.

The new route starts at the Racecourse running through the city centre, before heading out into the Cheshire and north Wales countryside and returning to Chester to finish at the Roodee.

For pre-registration, further information and contact details go to www.chestermarathon.co.uk
