POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously injured following a hit and run collision in Chester.
A 45-year-old local man was knocked from his bicycle at about 5pm, in the area of Wealstone Lane, Upton, on Friday, July 9.
The vehicle that collided with the pedal cyclist did not stop and the man was thrown from his bike.
He was rushed to the Countess of Chester Hospital and following a medical examination doctors discovered that he had suffered a serious head injury as a result of the accident that was not apparent at the time of the collision.
His condition is described as serious but stable.
