GUILSFIELD 3
LLANGOLLEN TOWN 2
SNOOKERED Llangollen Town found themselves out of the Frame as their Cymru Alliance woes continued at the weekend.
Gareth Lloyd’s charges were hopeful of picking something up from their crucial trip to Guilsfield, but a Ross Frame hat-trick ended these aspirations as Llangollen remain stuck in the bottom two.
Llangollen have games in hand over all the sides above them but they are still 13 points away from a top-eight finish, with 14 games left to play.
Guilsfield enjoyed the better start as they glided into a two-goal lead with a brace of goals from Ross Frame.
But Llangollen Town failed to throw in the towel and pegged a crucial goal back through Simon Smith.
Things didn’t get any easier for the Tower Fields side as they faced a tough test to restore parity when Steve Edwards was given his marching orders for violent conduct.
Despite this setback they did get back on level terms with a superbly struck penalty from Simon Hulse.
Guilsfield didn’t finish the game with 11 men either as Richard Astley and Mark Davies were both sent off for the hosts, but the Mid Walians managed to wrap up a 3-2 victory with 10 minutes remaining as Ross Frame completed his fine hat-trick.
