30 people in court after huge Cheshire drugs operation

A TOTAL of 30 people appeared in court yesterday charged with offences after Cheshire Police’s largest drugs raid.

Twenty-four men, three women and three juveniles appeared before West Cheshire Magistrates Court yesterday – 28 charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and two charged with supplying Class A drugs.

The charges related to allegations of the defendants transporting drugs from Liverpool to Chester and Flintshire over the course of a year.

An entire courtroom in Chester was set aside to process the defendants charged with the offences. All the defendants did not enter a plea and all will next appear at Chester Crown Court for preliminary hearings later this month.

The defendants charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs were:
Albie Brocklehurst, 22, of Hoole Lane, Hoole, was remanded in custody.

Christopher Davies, 29, of Watergate Street, Chester, was remanded into custody.

Brian Evans, 41, of Charlotte Court, Chester, was granted conditional bail.

Julian Evans, 51, of Stratford Road, Blacon, was granted unconditional bail.

Graham Keilty, 40, of Church Croft, Dodleston, was granted unconditional bail.

Antony McHugh, 48, of no fixed abode but from the Chester area, was remanded into custody.

Linda Novak, 56, of Charlotte Court, Chester, was remanded into custody.

Darren Reeder, 39, of Lache Hall Crescent, Lache, was granted conditional bail.

Craig Smith, 18, of Sycamore Drive, Lache, was granted unconditional bail.

Anton Welsh, 37, of Dawpool Court, Newton, Chester, was granted unconditional bail.

Darren Casseum, 45, of Mostyn Street, Shotton, was granted conditional bail.

Darren Storey, 36, of Kynaston Drive, Saltney Ferry, was granted unconditional bail.

Murbarak Ajagbe, 21, of Woolton, Liverpool, was remanded into custody.

Russell Benjamin, 22, of Aigburth, Liverpool, was remanded into custody.

Graham Brett, 24, of Anfield, Liverpool was remanded into custody.

Thomas Fenlan, 29, of Anfield, Liverpool, was remanded into custody.

Sean Gerrish, 24, of Dingle, Liverpool, was remanded into custody.

Christopher Harris, 24, of Toxteth, Liverpool, was granted conditional bail.

Adam Jacobson, 22, of Old Swan, Liverpool, was remanded into custody.

Jessica Jeory, 18, of Aigburth, Liverpool, was granted unconditional bail.

Louis Jones, 20, of Toxteth, Liverpool, was remanded into custody.

Danelle Moore, 18, of Old Swan, Liverpool, was granted conditional bail.

Daniel Moreton, 20, of Litherland, Liverpool, was remanded in custody.

Rebecca Norman, 27, of Litherland, Liverpool, but formerly of St Anne Street, Newtown, Chester, was remanded in custody.

Anthony O’Sullivan, 26, of no fixed abode, was remanded into custody.

Tawanda Smart, 19, of Halewood, Liverpool, was remanded into custody.

Two 17 year olds, one from Liverpool and one from Chester, and one 16 year old, from Liverpool, also appeared. Both defendants from Liverpool were granted unconditional bail and the defendant from Chester was remanded into custody.

Two other men, Sean Randles, 25, of Upton Drive, Upton and James Hartley, 30, of Kirkdale, Liverpool, were charged with supplying Class A drugs. Both were remanded into custody.
