AN ESTATE agent has received recognition at a national awards ceremony.
Humphreys of Chester, based on Lower Bridge Street, was awarded silver as Northern Estate Agency of the Year at The Estate Agency of the Year Awards 2013 in association with The Sunday Times and The Times.
More than 600 estate agents from throughout the UK attended a glittering ceremony at the Lancaster London Hotel, opposite Hyde Park, where the winners were revealed.
The awards were presented by TV newsreader and presenter Penny Smith. This was the culminating event of a rigorous and thorough judging process by a panel of 20 industry experts who assessed initial entry submissions before conducting an extensive review of the entrants, including more than 150 hours of telephone interviews and mystery shopping exercises.
It was the second year running Humphreys scooped an award at the ceremony after emerging triumphant from last year’s event with a gold award.
Humphreys of Chester director Ashley Hope, who collected the award, said: “Although the competition was higher, we are just as pleased to have been awarded the silver award. We hope these awards prove we put into practice what we promise our clients.”
Now in its 11th year as a dedicated competition, these awards have become widely recognised as one of the most sought after and difficult to win. More than 5,000 offices were represented this year.
The judges said: “Humphreys of Chester is a long established agency with an outstanding reputation for quality, honest and realistic service. Many of the clients arrive via recommendations and there is a high level of repeat business, which can be attributed to the longstanding team members.”
