PROUD parents have been celebrating the arrival of New Year’s Day babies.

Three couples at the Countess of Chester Hospital and three at the Wrexham Maelor Hospital witnessed the birth of their children on the first day of 2014.

Kristel and Thomas Pesnot, from Chester, were delighted when their son Louis was born at 3.47am weighing 6lb 14oz.

Steve and Kathryn Davies, of Coedpoeth, were celebrating the birth of their daughter, Lily, born at the Wrexham Maelor at 7.10am, weighing 6lb 3oz.

Baby Esme Summer was born to parents Gemma and Gary Cowley, from Broughton, at 1.53am, weighing 8lb 10.5oz.

Karen Williams and David Edwards celebrated the New Year with the birth of their son, Charlie Llewelyn Edwards, born at 4.39am and weighing 9lb 6.5oz.

Hannah Taylor and James O’Brien, from Acton, Wrexham, toasted the arrival of son Casey Lee at 5.40am, weighing 7lb 12.5oz.

And Emma Roydhouse and partner Andy McIntosh, from Cilcain, Flintshire, were celebrating at the Countess of Chester Hospital following the birth of their son Ben, at 5.37am, weighing 7lb 13oz.
