MEMBERS of Chester Scooter Club took part in their 10th annual Christmas Toy Run in aid of the Countess of Chester Hospital.
About 50 scooters took to the streets of Chester for the event on Sunday, when riders spread a little festive cheer by donating presents to the hospital’s children’s ward.
Organised by club members Bernie Griffiths and Tracy Griffiths, the event saw riders travel in convoy to deliver the presents.
Club member Graham Fox said: “It was a great day and it was great to see so many people come out and support the event. It is the 10th year that we have done this now and it is such a great thing for the kids.
“It’s always a lot of fun and, despite there being other scooter events on in Liverpool and Warrington on the same day, there was a good turnout from members. It’s a great cause.
“When we got to the hospital’s children’s ward, there were no presents under the Christmas trees. Once all the riders had placed their presents under the trees, it looked fantastic and really festive for the kids.
“It’s an important event that we have supported for a long time and it’s something we all look forward to.”
