Chester pedestrian hurt in road collision

POLICE have launched an investigation after a man was hit by a car while crossing the road in Chester.

At 6.10pm on Thursday, police and ambulance crews were called to the Grosvenor Roundabout following reports of a pedestrian being hurt.

A 58-year-old man was taken to the Countess of Chester hospital suffering from minor injuries.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident and have appealed for witnesses.

The man was crossing the road from the central reserve towards Chester Crown Court when he collided with a dark coloured Jaguar.

Sgt Andy Burrage, of Chester Inner Neighbourhood Policing Unit, said: “The casualty was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital to have his injuries assessed.

“Anyone with information is urged to contact 101, quoting incident number 981 of December 5.”
