A CONVICTED robber and rapist wanted on recall to prison remains at large.
Felix Purcell, 43, was jailed for nine years for robbery at the home of an elderly couple from Chester in 2009.
He broke into the home of John and Angela Mullins in Hillside Road, Blacon, and assaulted Mr Mullins before taking a wallet, cash, jewellery and bank cards.
Purcell, who has links to Saughall, had previously been convicted of raping a woman in her home in 1989.
He was released from prison in August and the terms of his release require him to reside at an address in Sandbach, observe an overnight curfew and report to the authorities at set points during the course of the day.
Purcell breached these requirements on October 8 and a notice of recall to prison has been issued.
He is described as 5ft 6ins tall and heavy in build. He is clean shaven, with brown hair shaved close to his head, blue eyes and he speaks with an Irish accent. He has a scar on his left arm.
Police said Purcell does travel and may have links with the North Wales area. He may pose a risk to the public and should not be approached.
Anybody who sees him is asked to immediately ring 999.
