A MOTORCYCLIST was killed and two others were seriously injured in a horror crash at Oulton Park race track near Tarporley.
Five motorcyclists taking part in a track day crashed shortly before 10.45am on Saturday, October 5.
Police and paramedics were called to the race track but have confirmed a 52-year-old male rider tragically died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
Two other men suffered serious spinal injuries and were flown to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire and Wythenshawe Hospital by air ambulance.
A fourth man sustained minor injuries and was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital in an ambulance.
Police and the Health and Safety Executive are now investigating the crash.
Cheshire Police spokeswoman Louise Hughes said: “A man has died following a collision at Oulton Park on Saturday, October 5.
“Police were called to the race circuit at 10.56am where five motorcyclists taking part in a track day had collided.
“A 52-year-old man tragically died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed. Two other men received serious injuries and were taken to hospital.
“The local authority health and safety have been made aware.”
