AN AUDIENCE with Liverpool FC legend Jan Molby is being held in Chester to support Claire House Children’s Hospice.
The Danish international made more than 200 appearances for the Anfield club between 1984 and 1996.
He will be appearing at the Grill on Newgate Street on Wednesday, October 16.
He will share stories from his career before taking questions from the audience and the evening will also include live music and a charity raffle.
All proceeds go to Wirral Witches, which works with Claire House and is headed by Molby’s wife, Mandy, and Jane Kirkham.
Wirral Witches has raised more than £350,000 for the hospice in the last five years.
The former Anfield star said: “I am looking forward to what should be a great evening at the Grill on Newgate Street. These evenings are always fun and it is rewarding to know we can have a great time while raising much needed funds for children who desperately need our help.”
Lee Smith, general manager of the Grill on Newgate Street said “We are delighted to be hosting this evening with one of the best and most respected footballers ever to have played in the English league and we have no doubt it will be an entertaining and fun occasion to support Wirral Witches”.
Tickets cost £40 and include wine or beer on arrival and a three-course dinner. To book or for more details call 01244 400507.
