TRANSPORT police are hunting for a man who walked up to a boy waiting for a train in Chester and carried out a sex act on himself.
The 15-year-old was left shocked and officers yesterday released details of the indecent incident at Chester Railway Station.
A CCTV image of a man British Transport Police officers would like to speak to in connection with the incident has been released after extensive inquiries failed to track the offender down.
PC Geoff Robinson said: “The boy was minding his own business when he was approached by a man in his early 20s who stood in front of him.
“Shortly after approaching the youth the man performed a prolonged indecent act on himself.”
PC Robinson added: “Though the man made no physical approach to the youth, the incident left the youngster feeling extremely uncomfortable and vulnerable.
“The offender’s actions were completely unacceptable and I am now calling on anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
“I have conducted a number of inquiries to date and have isolated the image of a man I believe has key information in relation to the incident.”
Anyone with information to the incident that occurred at 1.30pm on July 1 are asked to call British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40. In all calls please quote log B2/NWA of 4/9/13.
