A DOLPHIN has swam miles up the River Dee and reached as far inland as Saltney.
The mammal was first spotted in Connah's Quay docks on Monday night and was being monitored by coastguards.
But on Tuesday the dolphin was spotted up river beyond the Ferry Lane footbridge in Chester.
Charity British Divers Marine Life Rescue are monitoring the dolphin and are hoping the mammal will head out to sea once the tide changes.
