POLICE are hunting two youths who pushed a schoolboy to the ground before robbing his mobile phone in Chester.
Cheshire Police said the 12-year-old victim was walking along the footpath between Chester Road and Lucerne Close in Huntington at about 4.55pm on Sunday when the robbery happened.
He was playing a game on his phone when he became aware of two youths walking towards him.
One of them pushed him to the floor and his phone was stolen.
The two youths then fled in the direction of Lucerne Close.
The boy was not injured but police are appealing to the public for information.
PC Mel Graham from Chester Outer Neighbourhood Policing Unit said: “Incidents such as this are rare in Huntington and we are doing all we can to trace the offenders.”
The first youth is described as white, aged between 15 and 16-years-old and between 5 ft 7 ins and 5 ft 8 ins tall. He was wearing a dark hooded top with the hood up, dark coloured tracksuit bottoms and dark coloured gloves.
The second youth is described as being Asian in appearance, between 15 and 16-years-old and between 5 ft 8 ins and 5 ft 9 ins tall. He had black hair and was wearing a grey fleece and blue jeans.
