A SEX offender from Chester who exposed himself in front of four schoolgirls has been jailed.

Chester Crown Court was told Andrew Bradshaw, 44, had been locked up for seven years in 2004 and placed on the sex offenders’ register for life for targeting and attacking young girls as they walked to and from school.

He has now been sent back to prison after admitting two counts of indecent exposure which caused some of his young victims to run away screaming.

The court heard Bradshaw, of Hoole Way, Hoole, exposed himself to four girls, one aged nine, in Little Sutton and Ellesmere Port during the afternoon of last August.

He had been driving about on August 29 in his Ford Fiesta van and stopped at about 4.45pm near to where two 13-year-old girls were chatting on the corner of Bury Drive in Little Sutton and began to watch them.

Peter Hussey, prosecuting, said the girls noticed both passenger windows were open and Bradshaw was staring and smiling at them.

Mr Hussey said: “The girls felt uncomfortable and began to walk off in a direction which required them to walk past the parked van.

“The girls noticed that the driver completely exposed his genitals  and was performing a sexual act upon himself.

“They ran away screaming and informed their parents but by the time they arrived, the van had left.”

About an hour later on the same afternoon, Bradshaw stopped outside an address in Hope Farm and began watching two girls, aged nine and 11, playing in a front garden.

Mr Hussey said: “The two girls told how the driver was looking at them and staring.

“The parents of one of the girls then pulled up in a car to speak to them and the van drove off, only to return five minutes later.

“He was holding a mobile phone and appeared to be taking photographs of them. It was clear that Bradshaw was masturbating while watching the girls and the police were informed.”

Self-employed handyman Bradshaw, who has a teenage daughter, was arrested on August 31, and police seized his mobile phone which contained data linking him to the area at the time of the offences.

Bradshaw, who initially denied the offences when he appeared at West Cheshire Magistrates’ Court last September last year, eventually changed his plea and admitted the offences.

The court was told he had been found in possession of extreme pornography, including bestiality last June and had been sentenced to a community order.

The Recorder of Chester Judge Elgan Edwards jailed Bradshaw to 10 months.
He said: “You obviously have a problem. You are going to have to learn that you can not behave in this way. It is just not acceptable.

“If you carry on doing it you will be caught and locking you away for longer.”
