A SERIAL burglar who targeted homes in Chester has been jailed.
David Clark was sentenced to three and a half years jail for committing three separate offences at addresses in Chester over the weekend of January
5-6.
Clark, 30, of Olbridge Road, Liverpool, pleaded guilty to the spate of burglaries when he appeared before Chester Crown Court.
The first offence happened in the early hours of the morning at an address in Colson Court, where Clark forced a ground-floor bedroom window open but fled the scene without entering when he was disturbed by the occupant.
He went on to commit two further burglaries the next day, in Francis Court and Bache Drive, stealing a small quantity of jewellery, a handbag, a portable music device and a mobile phone.
DC Damian Tierney of Chester CID said: “No matter what is taken from a home during a burglary, the effect of having your private space invaded can be adverse and sometimes lasting.
“The impact of burglary on victims should never be underestimated and this is why we are determined to keep putting people like Clark before the courts.”
