Police closed the High Street in Tarvin for about two hours while firefighters cut the 24-year-old free from his vehicle. 

A MAN was taken to hospital with minor injuries following a three-car crash near Chester.

Police closed the High Street in Tarvin for about two hours while firefighters cut the 24-year-old free from his vehicle.

The crash happened at about 6.45am this morning and the man was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital.

Fire engines from Chester and Tarporley attended and the road was re-opened shortly after 8.50am.

A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters were called to a collision on High Street in Tarvin.

“When the crews arrived they found that the incident involved three cars. There was one man trapped.

“Crews used specialist equipment to cut the man free. he was then handed to the care of the ambulance service.
