A DELIVERY driver was robbed at knifepoint for a single pizza he was carrying.
Detectives are appealing for information following the robbery in which the 33-year-old delivery man was threatened with a knife.
He was delivering a pizza to an address in Chirk Close, off Bolesworth Road, Upton, when the robbery happened at about 11.40pm on Monday, August 20.
Two men and a woman approached the driver with one of the men threatening the driver with a knife and demanding he hand the pizza over.
The driver, who escaped unhurt, handed over the pizza he was attempting to deliver and the three offenders fled the scene.
Police have issued a description of the man who threatened the driver.
He is described as white, aged between 25 and 30-years-old, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and well built with a muscular physique.
He was wearing a silver or grey hooded top with knee length shorts and white trainers. He spoke with a local accent.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said:”At about 11.40pm on Monday, August 20, the victim, a 33-year-old man, was making a pizza delivery on Chirk Close.
“He was approached by two men and a woman. One of the men threatened him with a knife before demanding he hand over the pizza he was delivering.
“The victim handed over the pizza and the offender left the scene. The victim was not harmed in the incident.”
