THE two storey car park at Bronglais Hospital will be closed from 9pm on Friday, August 3 until Monday, August 6.

The onsite car park is being closed to allow a crane to be located in the service road to complete glazing works to the link bridge and north elevation of the Front of House building.

All vehicles should be removed from the car park for health and safety purposes.

Visitors are asked to use the parking spaces at the top of the hospital site and outside the Postgraduate Centre during the weekend.

Traffic lights will be placed at the top of the service road so vehicles can exit via the one way system.

Assistant Project Director Hayley Thomas said:  "It is essential that pedestrians do not access the cordoned off areas during this construction and we are grateful for everyone’s cooperation.

“We apologies for any inconvenience this might cause and we will do everything possible to keep disruption to an absolute minimum.”

The Front of House scheme includes development of a new emergency department, clinical decisions unit, and GP out-of-hours services, purpose-built day surgery unit, incorporating new day case operating theatres, new short-stay surgical ward, new maternity unit including relocating antenatal and paediatric clinics, refurbishing and relocating pathology services and refurbishing the main theatres in their current location.
