THE Olympic Torch set off from Aberystwyth this morning on its long journey to Bangor.

Today’s Torch Relay leg began just after 8am when Carwen Richards carried the Olympic Flame between Aberystwyth and Tre Taliesin.

The relay is due to arrive in Caernarfon after 4.20pm before passing through Felinheli to arrive at today’s final destination in Bangor.

Times are subject to change and delays.

Opera star Bryn Terfel will carry the torch for the final leg of today’s 108 mile journey before an evening of celebration at the Faenol Estate.
