RHYL FC pushed holders Llanelli all the way in their weekend FAW Cup clash, bowing out on penalties after tieing the clash 3-3.

The Lilywhites played for 110 minutes with just ten men after Neil Coverley's early red card, but more than held their own against the Premier League full-timers, with Tom Rowlands and Ryan Williams twice on target before going down 5-4 in the shoot-out.

Prestatyn Town were also dumped out of the cup in a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Welsh Alliance side Cefn Druids.

For the full story and reaction from both managers, pick up the Rhyl Journal this Wednesday.
