Woman dies in bike accident

TRIBUTES have been paid to a woman who was killed after she was knocked off her bicycle.

Susan Griffiths, 47, died after the incident in Glanrafon Road, Dwygyfylchi, last Friday morning.

Paramedics treated Mrs Griffiths for head and facial injures before taking her to Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor, where she died.

A man of 28, questioned by police on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving has been released on bail.

A joint tribute from Mr Griffiths' family said: “Her loving husband Arwyn, sons Andrew, Steven, Liam, Gavin and daughter Nicola will miss her very much.”

Tributes were also paid to Mrs Griffiths on a Penmaenmawr and Dwygyfylchi community forum, with user psp writing: “She was a nice girl! For years those bends by cemetery have been an accident waiting to happen. She was just an innocent cyclist going to work. My thoughts are with her family "

Police are appealing to anyone with information to call the roads policing unit on 101 (if in Wales) or 0300 3300 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
