A SERIAL flasher who wears nothing but a pair of socks is being hunted by police.
North Wales Police are appealing for help to catch the man who strikes near the Aston and Hawarden A494 flyover.
It is believed he is responsible for at least four incidents in the past two months.
One victim, who did not wish to be named, said she had seen the man near Lower Aston Hall Lane.
“I live quite nearby and it was very scary and upsetting,” she said.
“The first time I saw him was in July and then it happened again last week. He was completely naked apart from ankle socks.
“There is a play park nearby which is used by lots of children and I am very worried about what could happen.”
Aston councillor Helen Brown said it was very frightening for residents and believes at least one other villager has fallen victim to the flasher.
“I hope the man is caught sooner rather than later,” she said.
“Lots of people use that lane to walk their dogs and it is also used by schoolchildren going to Hawarden High School.
“I would ask everybody to take extra care if they are out and about on their own.”
Cllr George Hardcastle, who also represents Aston, said: “It’s not very nice at all, in fact it’s disgusting.
“There are a lot of families in Aston and its obviously very worrying.”
The latest incident was on Thursday, August 4, when a man exposed himself near the Aston flyover. Police searched the area but were unable to find the man, who is described as being in his 20s, about 6ft tall with short brown or dark hair.
DS Kevin Bowden said: “Enquiries into the incident are continuing. We believe the incident on August 4 may be linked to previous similar incidents in the Aston and Hawarden areas where we’ve had reports of a man exposing himself."
Police received a report that a man exposed himself on the flyover on August 2.
Further reports of a man exposing himself to a woman in the Hawarden area on June 22 and in a field between Aston and Hawarden on June 24 are also being investigated.
DS Bowden added: “I’m urging anyone with information to contact detectives at Mold on 101. We are keen to hear from anyone who has seen a man matching the description acting suspiciously in the area to get in touch."
Anyone with information can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
