A PROUD grandmother from Chester organised a ‘big’ surprise for her beloved grand daughter in a bid to make her feel like the belle of the ball.
Cea-enna Corfe, of Blacon Hall Road, Blacon, got the surprise of her life when the Chester Heritage bus pulled up to collect her and her three friends to take her to her end of year prom on Friday.
Dressed in a lime green dress and accompanied by her youngest brother Casius, six, Blacon High School pupil Cea-enna stepped onto the double decker bus, which had been organised by doting grandmother Barbara Nuttall.
The bus toured the streets of Blacon and the city centre, before transporting the group of friends to celebrate leaving school at the Blacon High School prom at Chester Racecourse.
Grandmother Barbara said: “As she is always different to the rest, this mode of transport is very appropriate for her.
“What is a lovely story is that Cea-enna has asked her youngest brother, Casius, to be her escort for the evening journey to the Racecourse.
“Casius insisted on being dressed up like the “big boys” and his outfit even matched the colour of Cea-enna's lime green dress."
Casius left his sister at the door to enjoy her evening and was treated to a special dinner on the way home.
Barbara added: “A treat well deserved."
