A GROUP of Chester pupils have brushed up on their language skills following a visit to Germany.
During April, the 10 students from The King’s School, in Years 9, 10 and 11, set out for an eight-day language exchange visit to the city of Leipzig.
The group spent some time at the Evangelisches Schulzentrum, Leipzig, where they attended a variety of lessons with their exchange partners. As well as spending time with their host families, they also took part in a variety of visits including tours of Berlin, Magdeburg and, of course, Leipzig. The trip followed a visit of 10 German students and two teachers to King’s in March.
School spokesman Daniel Bourhill said: “The exchange was greatly enjoyed by all and proved to be an enriching social, cultural and linguistic experience for both the King’s pupils and their hosts.”
