STAFF at a Chester-based business are hoping to strike gold for a second time at a regional awards competition.

Following its success at this year’s Fresh PR awards, de Winter PR and Design, in Stocks Lane, Boughton, is in the running for further honours at this year’s Marketing Society Northern Awards.

De Winter PR managing director Kate Cox said: “We were thrilled to collect two fresh PR awards in March and keeping fingers crossed that we’ll be bringing home some more trophies.”

The team has been shortlisted in both the Food and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) categories of the awards which celebrate the creativity and achievements of the PR and marketing industry in the North.

They fronted a national campaign on behalf of client, Trigon Snacks, to find the latest “BigD babe” to front the company’s pub snacks sales campaigns. The campaign targeted the UK’s tabloids, national men’s magazines and the glamour industry.

The CSR category shortlisting recognises the agency”s creativity in organising and promoting a campaign on behalf of Golden Square Shopping Centre in Warrington to encourage young people aged 14 to 21 to fulfil their potential in the jobs market by uncovering talents and learning new skills.

Winners will be announced at an awards evening at the Lancashire County Cricket Club next month.
