NOTICE OF PROPOSED COAST PROTECTION WORK

The Denbighshire County Council, acting in its capacity as coast protection authority, hereby gives notice under section 5(1) of the
above Act that it proposes to carry out coast protection work at West Rhyl, Denbighshire.
The work will consist of three main components: Training wall, Harbour Wall (Inner &Outer Harbour) and Stepped Revetment.
The Training wall is c.850m long & approx 9.3m wide, rock armour structure encasing the existing structure.
The Outer Harbour is c.280m rock armour structure, where the training wall ends the rock armour will grade up in level from the root
of the training wall, with varying gradient from 1 in 2 to 1 in 3.5 before dropping at the proposed cycle bridge, where the outer and
inner harbour meet. Sheet piles from the toe of the rock revetment, with sheet piles forming the connection between the rock armour
and the stepped revetment
