Notice of application for a full licence to abstract water
Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 37
of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of
the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding)
Regulations 2006 that an application has been made
to the Environment Agency by:
Hockenhull Hall Farms Limited
for a full licence to abstract water from the River Gowy
at National Grid Reference SJ 47586 65892.
The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates
275 cubic metres per hour,
6,600 cubic metres per day and
112,972 cubic metres per year
during the whole year.
The water will be used to fill a recreational lake. Once
full, the lake will be topped up and maintained by an
abstraction of 20 cubic metres per day or less, which is
exempt from the requirement of an abstraction licence
and the licence will be allowed to expire.
