AN ARMY of germ-busting specialists have descended on a Chester hospital ward after an outbreak of norovirus.
Ward 43, Meadows Ward, at the Countess of Chester Hospital is currently operating a restricted visiting policy to contain an outbreak of vomiting and diarrhoea.
It is believed that a number of patients have been affected by the outbreak which started on Wednesday, August 25. Infection Control Nurses are now completing a deep cleanse of the ward to try and eradicate the problem.
Visiting Ward 43 can now only be done by appointment via the nurse in charge. Call the switchboard on 01244 365000.
