THERE is nothing quite like a catch up with friends over a relaxing birthday lunch and a celebratory cocktail or two thrown in to the mix.
Settling in to our seats out of the cold, and in to the warm and cosy surroundings of Frankie & Benny’s we knew we were in for a treat;, the perfect place for a little R & R after a busy, cold winter’s afternoon spent shopping.
Sipping away at our Cosmopolitan cocktails, my friend and I browsed through an extensive menu and instantly found ourselves spoilt for choice. The menu offers everything from pasta, pizza and other hearty dishes, along with the traditional winter warmer dishes, there is something for absolutely everyone and the restaurant is extremely family friendly.
The service was excellent, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and our order was taken within minutes of settling down.
Within a short while we found ourselves tucking into a shared starter of sumptuously tasty garlic mozzarella pizza bread, whilst enjoying the relaxed and friendly atmosphere the restaurant offers.
Whilst the restaurant was busy, the staff still managed to find the time to return to the table to check we were comfortable and had everything we needed which was great, and it was not long before we were tucking in to our mains whilst enjoying a well earned catch up.
True to reputation, the portions for our mains were extremely generous and the meat was cooked mouth-wateringly so. We polished off our main dishes in super quick time, but despite being tempted by the huge selection of deserts, ideal for a self confessed chocaholic like me, neither of us could make room for a morsel more.
Afterwards, my friend and I were able to relax and finish our drinks, without any rush before setting off, nicely satisfied in to the cold night air.
